Verdell Mcfarlin Simmons

Verdell McFarlin-Simmons (Sister), 80, departed this earthly life on December 12, 2021. She was born to Sinker and Lizzie Gadison-McFarlin in Taylor, Texas on April 11 ^th , 1941.

She answered her gentle call to rest on Sunday, December 12, 2021, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.

In her early years Verdell provided love and support to a plethora of community members as a caregiver. Verdell enjoyed fishing, cooking, “watching the wheel” and other game shows, playing her slots, bingo, and spending time with loved ones.

Her son David McFarlin, a veteran of the United States Military, and late husband William Bill Simmons proceed her in death.

Verdell Simmons, whom was the last living member of 21 brothers and sisters, leaves her love and fond memories to her grandchildren Shatrina Hornsby Rivers and Ja’Marquis Rivers, David Franklin Hornsby, Courtlin Zraick Keith Hornsby, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
