Santos Perez

Santos Perez, born on August 10, 1948, in Sharp, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was the cherished daughter of Willie Farias and Juanita Botello.

Santos was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felipe Perez, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Jimmy Joseph Perez, Jr.

She leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever carry her spirit with them: her daughters, Angelita Perez, Anita Perez, Esmeralda Miranda and her husband Artemio; her son, Jimmy Perez and his wife Brandy Perez; her sister, Gloria Rios; and her sister-in-law, Beatrice Perez, her brothers-in-law: Jimmy Perez, Panfilo Perez and his wife, Santos Perez. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. Santos was the proud matriarch of a growing family that includes 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Each of whom brought her endless pride and plenty of stories to tell.

Santos will be remembered for her big personality and even bigger sense of humor. She was funny, a little bossy, and always kept everyone in line, whether they asked for it or not. She loved playing cards with her family, where the laughter was loud and the competition was real. She had a gift for “talking mess” like no other; quick-witted, playful, and guaranteed to make you laugh (even if you were the target).

She never turned down a cold Diet Dr Pepper and somehow made even the simplest moments feel special. She could be a little mean, but only in the way that made you laugh, shake your head, and love her even more. At the heart of it all, Santos was deeply loving, fiercely devoted to her family, and truly one of a kind.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her laughter, her stories, and her unforgettable spirit will live on through all who knew and loved her.
