Ronnie Harrison, aka Porky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27th, 2025, with his loving family at his side  at Baylor Scott & White hospital in Round Rock, Tx. Ronnie was born on October 21, 1947 in Temple, Tx to W.A. and LaVera "Dearie" Harrison. His family moved to Taylor when he was 2 years old. He grew up with an older brother Charles.

Ronnie was a graduate of Taylor High School in 1965. He attended Temple Jr College pursuing a coaching degree. Ronnie married his wife Joyce on June 17, 1972 and soon started a family starting with their daughter Sonya followed by their son Dustin. Ronnie worked hard and retired from the Texas Dept of Health as a state meat inspector. He spent many long hours doing what he loved most at the Taylor Livestock Auction barn working cattle, a place his father and uncle built.

Ronnie umpired and coached little league & pop warner when his children played. He also played with the Noack Bears.

After retirement he worked as a security guard at Ercot and then as an airport attendant for the City of Taylor. He returned to security at Wolf Ranch in Georgetown.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Survived by his wife Joyce of 53 years, his daughter Sonya Olson (Brian), his son Dustin Harrison (Lisa), his grandchildren Rhegan Pfluger (Dillon), Makayla, and Bryce. His great granddaughters Presley, and Sage. Along with nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers are John Carter, John Maruska, Mike Lannen, Dan Mohel, Allen Scruggs, Gaylon Remmert, Teddy Grimm, and Kelly Marek.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Taylor Brethren Church or Taylor Exes Association, 2107 Jason Dr Taylor, Texas 76574.
