Robbie Lee Griffin was born on November 3, 1948, in Taylor, Texas, to Alfred James and Johnnie Mae Williams.
Shortly after finishing school, Robbie married the love of her life, L.D. Griffin, on February 23, 1968. Their union was blessed with three children: Dominique, Donovan, and Dana.
Robbie had a magnetic presence that commanded attention whenever she entered a room. Known for her striking red lipstick, impeccably coordinated outfits, and signature Clinique scent, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her no-nonsense attitude, quick wit, and unmatched sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. To know Robbie was to love her.
Her deep compassion for the elderly inspired her to dedicate 30 years to a career in elderly care. Robbie spent the majority of those years at Buckner Villa Retirement Home in Austin, Texas, where she was celebrated for her exceptional attention to detail and the heartfelt care she provided to her patients.
Robbie is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and beloved husband, L.D. Griffin. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Dominique (Leonard), Donovan (Lacie), and Dana (Kerry); her cherished grandchildren, Darian, Adjhani, D'Avion, Chandler, Landen, Griffin, Parker, and Marlon; and one great-grandchild. Also left to treasure her legacy are her sister Janie (Nelson) and brothers Samuel, Roosevelt (Mica), and Robert, as well as her faithful companion, her beloved pet Paisley.
Robbie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
