Patricia 'Pat' Ann Steger

December 15, 1947 — November 26, 2025

Patricia “Pat” Ann Steger, 77, of Bartlett, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on November 26th after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born December 15th, 1947, in Elgin, Texas to Nina and Conrad Scott, and grew up in South Austin. She earned her Registered Nurse credentials from Breckenridge Hospital School of Nursing and later her B.S. Nursing Administration from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State).

Pat dedicated her life to caring for others as a loving and compassionate nurse. Her career was not just a profession, but a calling—she poured her heart into every patient she served, offering comfort, kindness, and healing. Her gift for creating friendships meant that she never met a stranger; her warm smile and genuine spirit drew people in, and she delighted in making new friends wherever she went.

Her faith was central to her life, and she joyfully shared the hope of Christ with those around her. Pat especially cherished her time serving alongside friends and members of Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock. The church community became her extended family, and she found great joy in encouraging others, in volunteering, and in fellowship. Even in her final days, Patricia remained steadfast in her faith. She faced her illness with courage and peace, reminding those around her of God’s promises.

Pat is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leslie Steger; sons Curtis Steger (Julie) of Georgetown, TX, and David Steger (Sara) of Bogart, GA; cherished grandchildren, Curtis “Cray” Steger II (Megan), Anna Moore (Cole), Emma Steger, and Tessa Steger; and her sister, Adelle Buehring. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nina and Conrad Scott, and brother, Alfred Scott. She will be missed by countless family and friends who will remember her for her compassion, her laughter, and her unwavering devotion to Christ. Patricia’s legacy is one of love, service, and faith—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 29th @ 10AM at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, 2500 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78665. Fellowship and a light meal will be served following her celebration of life.

In Iieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pat’s memory to the Palm Valley Lutheran Church, the Round Rock Area Serving Center, or to a local charity of your choice.
