Myra Wilson

July 12, 1943 — October 16, 2025

Thorndale, TX

Our Beloved Myra Maybeth Wilson, 82, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025.

Myra was born on July 12, 1943 in Bertram, Texas to Ed and Nola Ellett.

On December 6, 1968, Myra married the love of her life, Woodrow Wilson, where they made their home in Austin, Texas and later in Maxdale, Texas and Thorndale, Texas with their three sons.

Myra was an avid gardener, seamstress, and pianist as she enjoyed playing the piano on Sundays at various Baptist Churches including Thorndale Baptist and Val Verde Baptist. She loved reading and canning the fruits of her labor from the garden. She worked on and off as a bank teller in and around the Austin area and her most adorned job as a homemaker, mother, and being granny MyMy.

Myra loved Jesus and loved to spread His love by passing along Bible verses to friends and strangers alike. Myra was a true servant of the Lord, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Myra's heart was full of generosity, kindness, and exemplified what it meant to be a true Proverbs 31 woman.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Nola (Taylor) Ellett, and her mother and father-in-law, Joe and Velenah Wilson.

Myra is survived by her husband, Woodrow; sons, Woody Wilson, Thomas Wilson and wife, LaNae, and David Wilson; grandchildren, Matthew Wilson and wife, Isis, Justin Wilson, Anthais Wilson, and Lillian Wilson; sisters-in-law, Pat Ellett and Margaret Casaccio; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Wilson, Andrew Unnasch, George Clark, Mark Uhler, Kevin Ellett Graves, and Steve Mitchell.

A Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 23 2025, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas.
