Mireya “Mia” Gonzales Rosales, 28

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our very sweet and deeply loved, Mireya Anjelica Gonzales Rosales, 28. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Mireya was born on July 17, 1997, to Christine Silva -Gonzales and Stephen Gonzales. She was a beautiful blessing from the moment she arrived.

Mireya spent her early years in Taylor, Texas, where she was lovingly cared for by her great-grandparents, Epifania and Jesus Silva, Sr. They nurtured her with love and joy.

She attended and graduated from Taylor High School in 2015.

Mireya thrived in her work as a waitress at Corral Lozano’s Restaurant. Her coworkers and patrons quickly became part of her extended family. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh were reflections of the love she carried in her heart-gifts she shared freely with all who crossed her path.

She met the love of her life, Ushiel Rosales, and they were united in marriage on February 4, 2025. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship in Austin, Texas. Mireya continued to work in Austin in the restaurant industry.

Her soul was a light in this world—gentle, generous, and full of warmth. She cherished her time with her husband and family, with her beloved dog, Luna, and the simple joys that brought her delight, including her love of animals and moments spent with those she held dear.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is now rejoicing in heaven, reunited with her father, Stephen, and her grandmother, Minnie. Her spirit is free, her joy is complete, and her light continues on in eternity.

May our beloved Mireya Anjelica Gonzales Rosales, rest in the everlasting peace of God. Until we meet again, she will be held forever in our hearts.

Mireya is survived by her husband, Ushiel Rosales, her mother Chris Silva-Gonzales (husband Kelly Kaderka), her two adoring brothers Alejandro and Emilio Gonzales, her grandfather Gumisindo Gonzales Sr., maternal grandparents Robert and Donna Silva, Ushiel’s parents, Pedro Rosales and Rosalia Soto, sisters Patricia Rosales, Tania Cormier (husband Chris), and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

May our beloved “Ya-Ya” rest in peace. We look forward to the day when we meet her again.

Rosary and viewing will be held on Monday, December 8, 7 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, December 9, at 11 A. M, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taylor. The graveside services will follow afterwards, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
