Mario Luna , 70, of Taylor, entered into his eternal resting place on the evening of April 9 , 202 1 at his home after a brief battle with cancer .
Mario is preceded in death by his mother , Sara Luna ; grandmother, Jesusa Luna; sister, Rosie Leyendecker; brother, Saul S alazar ; uncle, Li brado Luna.
Mario was born in Taylor on February 28, 1951 . He was an honorable veteran who served 3 years in the United States Army. He enjoyed fish ing , cooking BBQ, classic cars , listen ing to classic rock and Spanish music, collect ing arrowheads and coins , and watch ing old western shows . He was a devoted and loving husband, father , brother , and friend to all who came in his path.
Mario is survived by his wife of 4 6 years, Juanita Luna; children, Mario Luna Jr., and Veronica Crockett (Thomas) ; grandchildren, Alex Larsen , Christian, Donovan, and Tyanney Luna, Isaiah and Jeremiah Crockett ; great-grandchild, Desiree Larsen; siblings, Susie Mokry, Alex, Larry , and James Luna; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
