Jose known to many people as "Joe" was born on August 13,1949 in Hondo, TX to Mother Felipa Samora Palomo and Father Juan Palomo. A Beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather- Joe brought great joy, laughter and love to everyone around him.
It is really hard to find the right words to describe Joe because, he was EVERYTHING. Joe lit up every room at all the family gatherings when he arrived. Everyone would be excited when he would enter a room with his big grin and beautiful eyes. His big smile was so contagious. His sharp wit and effortless humor always had us laughing and boy was He very quick with a come back but Joe also had a serious side. He listened when you didn't think he was listening. He paid attention to every detail. He was head strong and he was stubborn. He was very meticulous on how he presented himself and also had great confidence. He was strong when he needed to be and I mean STRONG!! He was a fighter. Not only literally but mentally and spiritually. Even up until the very end. He would not leave with out a fight. Joe was full of charm. The side that only a select few got to see was how tender and sweet he could be. He loved his children, Becky, John Joe and Larry and was beyond proud of them. He also loved his grandbabies and great grandbabies and would attend EVERY family event and birthday party.
Most people do not know this about Joe. He had a talent. He was a bass guitarist who loved to sing and play. Joe found his passion for music early in life when he and his family settled in Taylor, Texas. Whether he was strumming his guitar with his brother or filling the house with music, or just going out and attending countless concerts, he was always devoted to the music.
Joe met his wife Ernestina and married in 1966 when he settled down and started his own family and had his 3 children. Joe worked in manufacturing most of his adult life then joined his son Larry's company before retiring. His love for music continued later in life, right where it left off. Joe enjoyed having jam sessions with his sons who also inherited the musical trait. Joe also loved spending time with his daughter, Becky which usually had something to do with involving food. Joe was a secret foodie. He loved to eat. Which is a trait that his children and grandchildren also inherited. If you were to ask Joe what his hobbies are he would of said Family and Music.
