Gregorio Gonzales

George Gonzales, 87, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. He was born on March

12, 1938, in McDade, TX and was raised in Taylor, TX where he grew up alongside his

brothers and sisters: Antonio, Santos, Felipa, Catarino, Marylou, Gumisindo, Johnny,

Virginia, Alfonzo, Elihio, Cecilia, Andrew, Benito, Josie, Henry, and Leticia.

George was a hardworking man who owned and operated his own upholstery business for

many years. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. He enjoyed

playing bingo, making regular trips to the bank, taking out every dollar he had, and

sharing it with his neighbors. His kindness and humor will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe and Dolores Gonzales, predeceased spouse Pauline, and his son Andy

He is survived by his children: Mary, Tonie, George, Janie, Virginia, Ofelia, Jessie, Sandra,

Gloria, Josie, and Johnny; along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended

family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

George leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. His presence, humor, and

kindness will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
