Emma Kerley

Emma Kerley, age 85 passed away Monday, August 30, 2021.

Emma Jean Kerley was born to Clifford and Beaulah Sorrells on February 5, 1936, and they later moved to Hutto, Texas. Emma professed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. Emma then joined in marriage to Harold Kerley Sr. and to this union, 10 children were born.

Emma worked for a short period of time with Sweetbriar Nursing Home in Taylor, Texas and at Trinity Luthern Home in Round Rock, Texas alongside her mother Beaulah Sorrells. Emma then became a stay-at-home mom taking care of her home and her children.

Emma was a member of Little Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hutto, Texas under the ministry of the late Reverend Fred B Warren.

Preceding her in death are: Clifford and Beaulah Sorrells (parents), Ruthie B Cage (sister), Larry Kerley (son), Levon "PeeWee" Kerley (son), Michelle Kerley (granddaughter), Naterra Nicloe Bass (great granddaughter).

Leaving to cherish her memories are: Harold Kerley Sr (husband), Jesse Sorrells (brother), Ray Charles (Yvonne) Kerley (son), Harold (Maybel) Kerley Jr. (son), Odell (Alice) Kerley (son), Willie (Lucy) Kerley (son), Donald Wayne (Charlotte) Kerley (son), Bernice Kerley Darden (daughter), Allen Kerley (son), Leroy Kerley (son), 34 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
