Emma Lee Hubble, 82, of Cedar Park, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 18, after a short illness with cancer.
Emma Lee was born on October 14, 1943 in Lee County to John William and Addie (Turner) Guthrie. After graduation from Lexington High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Harold Douglas Hubble on September 14, 1963 in Taylor, Texas. They shared 60 years of life and their final days together were spent in their home of 40 years in Georgetown, Texas. During that time, she was employed at Southwestern University for 28 years and after retirement, remained friends with several of her colleagues.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sitting on the front porch every morning with Harold drinking coffee, and also enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Troy Douglas Hubble and Melissa Dumitru of Kingsland, Texas, her sister, Mary Lou Cash and Bill Sisk of Cypress, Texas, her nephews, Kenneth Darrell Seiler of Buda, Texas, Jeffrey Reagan Cash of Cypress, Texas, her niece, Heather Marie Grass of Cypress, Texas, and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Douglas Hubble, her parents, John and Addie Guthrie, two sisters, Ella Mae Seiler and Joyce Marie Guthrie, one nephew, Steve Ray Seiler, and one niece, Angela Diane Cash.
Viewing will be held Monday, December 29 from 6:00-8:00PM at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor; Graveside Services will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 30 at Taylor City Cemetery.
