Don Funderburgh

Dickie Don Funderburgh was born in Frisco, Texas, on December 23, 1938, to A.K. and Lydia Funderburgh. Don grew up in South Texas along with four brothers and one sister.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Kerby, Billy, Bobby, and Kenneth. Four children survive him: Kelly (Forrest) Byerley, Roxanne (Mike) Ancy, Donan Grant, and Darren Funderburgh, along with his sister Martha Ann (Dennis) Backstrom and his companion, Betty Unnasch.

Don served our country in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. He lived most of his adult life in the Austin, Texas, area, where he worked in and owned his own car sales business.

The family wants to express gratitude to Betty Unnasch of Thorndale, Texas, for her care of Don as he battled with dementia over the past few years.
