Delphine Louise Slivensky, 86, of Taylor, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 16, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor, TX. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
Delphine was born in Coupland, TX, moved to Taylor as a child, and lived in Taylor for the rest of her life. Her life is highlighted by her faith, devotion to family, and compassion for others. She was a life-long member and active volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church, and a role model of compassion and servanthood to both family and her community.
Delphine was preceded in death by her husband, Walton Slivensky; and two brothers: Andrew Greinert and Frank Greinert Jr.
Delphine is survived by three sons: John Slivensky and wife Cindy, David Slivensky and wife Joan, and Alan Slivensky and wife DeAnn; brother-in-law Albert Zeplin; sisters-in-law: Pat Greinert and Dolores Greinert; grandchildren: Brian Slivensky; Aubrey Johnson and husband Brandon; AnnaLeigh Breeden and husband Jacob; Tim Slivensky; Emma Slivensky; Orquidea Burke and husband Brett; Miceh Cumpian; Alteza Ahart and husband Kevin; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
